First Craft Show Experience

Wow. I am excited, overjoyed, jittery, and tired.

I am excited from selling my designs for the first time at a craft show!! WOOOHOO! Especially at such a sweet event, Chi Omega moms weekend at The George in College Station, Texas.

I am overjoyed that it is finished and that the whole world did not implode if anything did not go as planned (tbh, very little was planned before this so imploding had a high risk of occurring).

I am jittery because I am itching to do another craft show/market/be a vendor. The feeling of getting to talk about the art that you have worked so hard on. Seeing the smiles on peoples faces when they see little bags of confetti or a sign that they have to buy because it reminds them of their husband are truly priceless. Certain quotes and phrases really do have the ability to make us kids again.

I am tired. So dang tired. Like sleep for two days straight kind of tired (you know what I’m talking about).

Note to self: SLEEP IS SO IMPORTANT. MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN THAT LAST PEICE OF ART THAT PROBABLY WONT SELL BECAUSE YOU SPELLED EVERYTHING WRONG B/C UR TIRED AND DYSLEXIC!!!!!

Sweet sweet yay’s from the day:

  • A mom buying a print that said “ooh la la” because it is “so her”
  • A mom buying her husband a little print that said “tropic like its hot” because he says it all the time “even though they are too old to say it”
  • the support and curiosity of the shoppers
  • Most of all: the support and encouragement of my closest friends and family, who have been there to think of things before I do and to drop everything to be there to help me. They are the yay’s of all of my days.

xoxo, Kylie
